Remote Audio CAX5QN25 Reviews
Top quality cable and connectors. Perfect for mid-side and Blumlein setups where you want to minimize cable clutter by using a 5-pin XLR cable stretch. Highly recommend.
Perfect for single point stereo with 2 capsules
I have a single point stereo mic that has 2 capsules and is wired with XLR5M. This works perfectly to extend the mic to the original splitter.
I needed extension cable for SuperLux ORTF and AT825 stereo mics used in live recording. Liked it so much, I bought a second one. High quality and flexible cable. I do wish the connectors were black rather than nickel. In fact I swapped out the mic end XLR shell to black because it is connected to a black mic up on a stand in front of the audience and I want a low visual profile. Also would like selection of longer cables 10 and 20 meters would be good.
Light flexible cable
Bought this because I needed a long cable for my stereo mic. Is seems more flexible and lighter than my other xlr cables, and that is a good thing.
High Quality Stereo Extension Cable
I purchased this cable to use with my AT825 stereo microphone and Zoom H4n recorder. This is a well built, high quality stereo XLR cable which allowed me to extend my existing short 5-pin-to-double-3-pin splitter cable and place the microphone on a stand further away from the recorder. The balanced connection provides very clean stereo sound with just one cable instead of two 3-pin XLR cables. I highly recommend this product for any application that requires 5-pin stereo XLR connection.
Wanted single cable for stereo mic
I'm using this cable on mic with 2 elements and has balanced stereo output. It's terminated with Neutrik connectors which was preferred over the other available product. I was unable to locate a cable with 2 x Starquad arrangements housed in a single jacket and I haven't seen information if that arrangement would have an audible advantage over terminating the individual conductors of the Canare Starquad cable in a 5 pin XLR.
Quality and reliability
I have been using this cable since 2008, quality components and craftsmanship.
Recommended cable, have used it for M/S nature recordings in spring/summer conditions. Excellent all around.
