ART HeadTAP Overview

The ART HeadTAP is a portable, miniature, passive headphone monitoring utility, intended for use for either rehearsal and recording, or on stage. This device is a reliable substitute for stage monitors when setup time, or space, is at a premium, and also functions as a cost-effective, remote, headphone expansion solution .

The passive internal resistors of the HeadTAP maintain a high impedance level, protecting both amplifiers and headphones on input and output, and a stereo/mono selector switch accommodates feeds from both stereo headphone amplifiers and mono monitor amps.

Additional HeadTAP features include a parallel output for daisy chaining, and a volume control knob.

Passive headphone monitoring solution with dual headphone outputs
Portable, requires no batteries or power supply
Direct connection to stereo or mono headphone and monitor amplifiers; stereo/mono input selector switch
Parallel output for daisy-chain connection of multiple units

Internal resistors maintain high impedance, protect amp and headphones

A great product from ART to eliminate that pesky floor monitor behind the drumset. Got this to use with in ear monitors and it works great. The B&H price really sweetened the deal. The ART Headtap is well built and offers great sound quality. I pulled the floor monitor and put the headtap in place with another floor monitor downline which was not affeced. This can be used direct off the PA as well which makes it quite versital. I use my headtap, with MEE PRO 6 in ear monitors.

In love with this product. In-ears are the best. The only issue is I have to select the stereo/mono button to stop it from distorting after not using it for a long time. But other than that its a great product. Does what it's supposed to

The ART HEADTAP - 2 Output Headphone Tap is not definitively a headphone amplifier itself, but rather an individual, passive monitor extension that can be connected to a headphone amp or other amplified source. It's passive circuitry maintains and passes along the impedance of the input signal and even serves as a "through" to output that signal down the chain in addition to its headphone connection.

question

how do you hook the headtap up to a digital mixer?
Asked by: Anonymous
The headtap has a standard 1/4 jack line out. so you can easily go from 1/4 to 1/4 or 1/4 to XLR from the headtap to the mixer. I connect mine coming off a wedge monitor for my bass player and it works great!
