    ART Phantom II Pro reviews

PHANTOM II Pro - Battery Operated Phantom Power Supply is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall a decent phantom supply I use this to power my NTG-3 since I don't own a mixer and my camera does not provide phantom. It does a good job with providing CLEAN and CLEAR phantom power. It also seems like a solid, durable, lightweight design. My two problems: the battery compartment needs improvement, it is pretty cheaply designed; another thing I didn't like is the lack of an optional belt clip which would be great for boom operators. One very nice thing is that it actually came WITH 2 batteries! In all I am pretty happy with this and functionality wise it is great, just a couple minor design flaws.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from gets the job done It works fine and seems to have at least 12 hours battery life providing 48v phantom power though both ports. As other reviewers have said the battery just floats around and is difficult to fish out unless you hold it upside down and shake it. The adapter is a bit bulky and doesn't have any tripod or mic stand threading--would be nice it there was an easier way to mount it to a rig. I ended up using industrial-strength velcro. It does NOT come with an AC adapter and I wasn't able to find an OEM adapter for sale. But B&H does sell a third party adapter from Hosa Technology that has worked fine thus far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from does what you need goodphanthom power supply to power my external mic for my Canon 60D. I found this and the price was within my budget. I received it within a week. I like how small it is and it does power my unit but had to get a extra plug from cam to unit the an adapter to make it a female connection. wish it all came together as a package. the connection to the 9volt is flimsy and you have to be careful with it. the battery shakes inside the unit. doesnt have anywhere to clip it to. had to create a special bag for it. other than that does what you need it to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does The Job I use this device to provide Phantom power to my Olympus LS-11. It is still small enough for stealth recording(when put into a small bag). I was surprised at how well the combo actually worked! I also found the preamps weren't that noisy and the battery compartment problem was not that bad once I put a bit of foam inside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Portable Power Supply The box is really easy to use and super efficient. It's really great for on-the-go recording. The only negative comment I have is that the battery and compartment door rattle a bit. I made a pouch to hold it in that can be put on a belt, so that's not really a problem anymore. A bit of tape would probably do the job. I think the best thing about it is that it doesn't change the sound quality. It sounds as good as a direct mic does.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Product We needed to power a microphone for video surveillance. This works great. Even though it is listed as a battery powered unit there is an input so the unit can be powered by an electrical adapter. However, there is no description or link to purchase the electrical adapter. Emails to the manufacturer went unanswered. Thanks to B&H for suggesting an adapter for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Phantom Power I produce commercial marketing videos and the Art Phantom II Pro came highly recommended and the other reviews helped support the recommendation bought no questions asked and already used it for a wedding shoot and a corp training video using Rode NTG1 and AudioTechnica lapel mics the ART Phantom II worked great!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works great This item works great. but I did manage to burn one of my channels on Sony D50. so you need to be careful with this thing and follow the instructions which are connect everything and only then turn the power on. since I started doing that I didn't have any problems. I did do a comparison between using the Phantom on my M-box and compare it with using the Phantom from PHANTOM II . and there was a little less noise while recording with the PHANTOM II pro. this item is quite bulky as mentioned by other reviewers. either than that I'm happy about it. specially for the fact that other devices that do the same thing costs between $100-$400. another problem with this item is that a battery house. I had to use tape to keep it in place otherwise the batteries just floating around inside this thing which is not a good idea.
