Hot Steel Blues from Ilio is a sample library featuring soulful blues riffs played by legendary guitarist Terry Robb and produced by Dan Portis-Cathers. The collection includes over eight-hundred phrases divided into patterns, melodies and endings and arranged into "construction kits" that can be assembled and mixed to create complete, seamless tracks.
Both acoustic and electric guitar styles are featured that traverse the entire blues genre, from Muddy Waters to Eric Clapton. The acoustic and electric guitars featured include a Martin 000-28, a 1920's Weissenborn lap slide, a Gibson B25 upright slide, Laguna L-29, Fender Duo Sonic and Fender Stratocaster. All the samples were recorded using high-end microphones, pre-amps and both solid state and tube amplifiers.
This library has been compiled to work with Akai hardware samplers and any other hardware or software samplers that conform to the Akai format. It also comes with an audio CD version.
