Supreme Beats - World/Dance - from Spectrasonics and distributed by Ilio is a percussion library from renowned percussionist Bashiri Johnson. Recorded over six months in top NY and LA studios, played on more than a hundred instruments from rain sticks to talking drums to Nigerian batas, the library is an essential resource for the modern composer, producer and remixer.
Each percussion groove is delivered in three tempos, first in a full mix and then with each percussion element soloed, allowing for extreme flexibility in how the loops can be combined and applied. Single hits of all of the instruments are included as well.
In addition to the many traditional and ethnic percussion instruments used, unusual live sources such as elevator shafts, breathing, tap dancing, toy rabbits, chest pounding, vacuum cleaners, automobile parts, vocalizing, radiators and human stomping were creatively incorporated into the grooves, imbuing these rhythms with a truly unique sonic quality.
This library has been compiled to work with Akai hardware samplers and any other hardware or software samplers that conform to the Akai format.
