ZEISS 52 86 12 overview

  • 1Description

Mounted on a tripod, the ZEISS Digiscoping Support Bracket lets you pair a compact digital camera with a ZEISS spotting scope for super-telephoto images and video. It works with cameras that do not have removable lenses, or those with lenses with no filter threads.

The bracket works with straight and angled-viewing scopes. The camera can be swung out of the way for observing and focusing the scope, then swung back into position to capture the image or video.

  • Holds point & shoot or video cameras to spotting scope eyepiece – no camera-specific adapter required
  • Works with angled and straight-viewing scopes
  • Camera is easily moved aside for observation and focusing, swings back into place for image/video capture

Digiscoping Support Bracket is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Better Solution is High Grade Aluminum The devise does its job, but it is too heavy! High grade aluminum, black eloxed is the solution for this problem. In addition the index/locking spring pin is too weak or too small for those heavy plates. In the locked position there is still some movement (air) felt. The bracket and angle adjustment, the holding provision for the camera is not sofisticated. It's a bit of a Micky Mouse fixture.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does Job but Awkward I hate this (expensive) bracket and rarely use it for still digiscoping. It is a pain to set up and the tightened bracket allows for very slight scope movement. I use this bracket primarily for video digiscoping of fairly still subjects (nests).
