question

Does this have 48v phantom power?
Asked by: David G.
The MX124 is able to provide 18v phantom power on each mic input. Many mics are able to operate with a range of voltages. You will need to check your mics specs. If you require the full 48 volts, you will need an additional phantom power supply.

Can this be mounted between a camera and a monopod/tripod, or must it be carried in a bag?
Asked by: John
No, it is not designed to mount between camera and tripod. I have strapped it to the legs before. You may be able to see in the picture that it has slots in the "ears" on the front. In a "run-and-gun" situation it may be better to put it into a fanny pack and strap around your waist.

Are the XLR outputs mic level or line level?

Are the XLR outputs mic level or line level?
Asked by: Cameron
When I connect this mixer to my Panasonic video camera via XLR cables, the input setting switch on the camera is set to "mic" as opposed to "Line". When set to "line" audio seems way too low. But, I think this mixer could connected to line level input on an amplifier for example. There are recessed level controllers (pots) on the back that can be raised for line level. B&H does not have a shot of the back of this mixer on their product page. Maybe I'll have time to post one. Hope this helps.

Can this mixer be used with a Panasonic video camera with model#HV-V180?
Asked by: Frank E
Please check the model number for your camera as you may have noted it incorrectly. If your camera is the Panasonic HC-V180, it has a built-in microphone but does not include an input for connecting an external mic so there is no input that will allow you to connect the mixer to the camera. However, you can use the mixer with a separate audio recorder and then sync the recorded audio and video later in post production.

Can a mixer like this be fitted to a Panasonic Video Camera Model#HC-V180?
Asked by: Frank E
This camera does not have the capability to intake external audio, you can still use a recorder but you will have to sync the audio with the video in post production after everything is recorded separate.

how to mount near camera?

how to mount near camera?
Asked by: William
I mostly just put it on table next to tripod. A couple of times I have bungee corded it to a leg of the tripod but that's not the best solution. Other than that, there is no special way to mount close to camera that I'm aware of.
