The MLA400-2 from ATI is a multiple amplifier array that provides four identical line amplifier channels. These channels may be used as independent and isolated amplifiers, or they may be combined at internal summing points, and brought out to the rear connector to form mixers, summing amplifiers, distribution amplifiers etc.
Each amplifier applies balanced or unbalanced line level input signals directly to a differential input stage with good common mode rejection, and bypasses any RF signals picked up at the inputs. The input stage will accept line levels up to +22dBm without clipping and has a typical equivalent input noise (EIN) of only -96dBm, yielding a 118dB dynamic range.
Other uses include audio distribution and level matching, driving headphones, or to normalize incoming telephone lines. The amplifiers have adjustable gain up to 42dB, provide a ruler flat response, while maintaining low noise and distortion. Barrier block terminals are provided for both input and output, and the MLA400-2 is housed in single rack-space, rack-mount chassis with an internal power supply.
