I've been using Lineco tape for years both gummed and self adhesive. I've never used their black tape, but I needed it for a book I'm working on. It holds well and I have not had any problems with lifting off the surface and I don't expect to since I have some projects I did over 30yrs ago and the tape is still holding.
I would buy this product again!

After much searching for the appropriate tape for a 1950's geological map I finally settled on the Lineco Linen Tape. I used this product to retype the outside edges of a map that is mounted on cardboard, replacing old tape that was warn and falling off. The backing on the tape pealed off very easily and the tape went on the map with no problem. It looks beautiful and very much like the original product.
