Manfrotto Triflector Reviews

Very cheap product, not worth the cost.

The reflectors do not stay in place when you are using them unless they are at a very specific angle and overall the product just feels cheap. Definitely not worth the cost and I personally would explore alternative options if you are interested. For example, the angle in the preview photo is not doable without using some sort of counterweight which the company does not provide.

Very light

I have not started using the Triflector but know it produces great results. It is very light and is comprised of three rods, two pivot joints and six rubber clamps, plus a clamp that mounts it to a tripod. It also comes with the three panels and a bag. The frame folds up to a small size but would need to be set up again, by moving adjusting the pivot points, and rubber clamps. The panels are not perfectly flat and need to be tweaked to stay flat. The rubber clamps are not positively locked in place with a clamp but instead rely on friction with the rods. I found they would stay in place and were easy to adjust but they can be knocked out of alignment easily. To insert the panels you flex the rubber clamp, push the panel in and then release it. I think that it being very light is an asset for not carrying a lot of weight to your next photo shoot. I am unsure about about its durability being so light. The large bag has space for a small tripod but the bag doesn't give any protection to the frame. I gave it a low score because of the cost to quality. It is definitely overpriced compared to many other items I have bought that are much more complicated. I plan to keep this and see how it holds out over time.

I assume it doesn't come with a stand. Does it go on a typical light stand?

Yes, this product would fit on a typical light stand such as the Impact Air-Cushioned Light Stand (Black, 8') B&H # IMLS8AI. https://bhpho.to/2mXy4j0
