    PSC FPSC0035 reviews

Universal Microphone Shock Mount is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Good Mount I am using this PSC small shockmount as an alternate on my camera rig for certain mic setups. The PSC mount is well built and sturdy. It is light-weight and works well. Be sure to flip-wind the mic into the bands as shown by the manufacturer. A spare set of bands is also a good investment, although I have not yet had any bands break on me. I would recommend this mount for use only with shorter shotgun and hyper-cardioid mics, anywhere in the 4 inch through 8 inch length range. It will work with mics up to the 10 inch length range, but they become a bit front-heavy for the bands. If you have the budget, the PSC M5 Pro is a higher quality mount.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Professional's Choice This is one of the most widely used shock mounts by professional sound mixers in the film and video industry. Its light weight makes it a favorite for boom operators. The flexibility of the mount gives it superior isolation from handling noise. It is ideal for light weight microphones with a foam windscreen, A K6/ME66 will work fine although at 12.5 it is probably the longest usable mic. The rubber rings are very durable when used properly. Professional users double-twist them before inserting the microphone. Without that double-twist it is a bit loosey goosey. It is not suitable for a long shotgun (there is a large model for that) or use with a heavy outdoor windscreen. In that case a stiffer mount (with less noise isolation) is necessary.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid. I've been very unhappy with this shockmount, used with a Sennheiser K6/ME66. The silicone bands were insufficient to support my microphone, and the aluminum has sharp edges. So we had to be very careful to avoid knocking, and we went through a set of bands every two or three days. Sorry PSC....
