Leica 14001 Overview

The E49 Lens Cap for Select Leica Lenses from Leica is a replacement or spare snap-on lens cap for the 135mm f/3.4 M lens and the 75mm f/2 M lens. Lens caps protect lenses from scratches, fingerprints and the elements while not in use. With such fine lenses as the Leica 135mm and 75mm f/2, a replacement lens in your camera bag is a good idea in case you lose the original while out shooting. The Leica script name logo is on the front of this lens cap.

49mm Lense Cover for my Leica Q3. Fits perfectly over my Heliopan Digital Filter. A lot of people won't use a filter but I have always done so to protect. The lense cover protects the filter. Love Leica. Synonymous with the highest quality in the world of photography. Thank you B&H for superb and expeditious shipping. Perfect.

The Leica E49 Lens Cap for Select Leica Lenses does not fit the Leica D-Lux 6 camera. The one that was made for it is no longer available, MFR # 23-108-001-018.

This cap will not fit because the D-Lux 5 lens has no filter thread on it but the B&H # LELC39M Leica cat# 14038 E39 lens cap will work since it catches a lip at the front of the lens.

If you are planning to remove the lens hood and are looking for a lens cap to use, then yes, this E49 Lens cap will work. Otherwise, if you have the lens hood that comes with the camera attached, you would need the replacement metal slip-on cap Leica # 423-140.005-000.

The Q2 lens cover is designed to slip over the the lens hood so while the hood is on the E49 cap will not fit. If you need to replace the lens cover, you would order B&H # LELCQQ2B, Leica part # 423-116-005-000. If the lens hood is off then it should fit.

It will work on the Q but only without the lens hood. There is a separate metal slip on cap designed to be used with the Q lens hood.
