Chimera Pro Panel Overview

The Chimera Pro Panel Kit is a totally portable 72x72" reflector kit, ready for mounting to your grip heads and C Stands, or heavy duty light stands.

The aluminum alloy shock-corded frame has reinforced corners. The corners host the quick-release tabs that allow fast set up and take down. A reversible black/white, a 1/2 diffusion panel and storage duffel bag complete this kit.

May be used with 2 stands and grip heads for full range of angles, or with one stand with angle adjustment limitations.

I shoot a lot with small teams, often using my own personal vehicle. The ability to get a true 4x4 frame for diffusion, bounce, or light blocking that fits easily into an SUV is a big time win. If you shoot doc style interviews with small teams, this is a great piece of kit.

How much does the frame weigh? And how does the weight compare to the Intellytech fast frame? (5' x 6.5')

According to Chimera, their 72 x 72" Pro Panel Fabric Frame weighs 5.6 lbs. Unfortunately, Intellytech does not publish a weight for their Fast Frame 5' x 6.5' option.

Is the black fabric opaque enough to be used as negative fill? Or will I need to purchase some additional duvetyn?

Yes. But applying the additional duvetyn will only make the unit a sun stopper no light transmission at all.
