when you say non-flickering, how do you quantify that? Is it truly flicker free if I video it at 50,000 frames per second? If not, where is the threshold?
The Just Normlicht 23 x 43" Classic Line Transparency Viewer with Electronic Dimmer (B&H# JU17343) is viewer designed for use with human eyes or a digital scanner. Human beings do not perceive flickering above 1kHz, hence the designation as non-flickering for personal viewing. Moreover, using it for digital scanning of transparencies (where no motion is involved), the typical line scan rates used will also appear non-flickering under normal such usage. So, while the manufacturer does not state a flicker rate, one can be sure that it offers a non-flickering appearance for the stated and intended purposes. To be clear, this viewer is not designed to serve as a source of illumination for use with high speed cameras for recording extremely fast action.
