This filter corrects for Ultraviolet (UV) light, which can register on film and videotape as a bluish cast and can obscure distant details. This filter absorbs approximately 71% of UV light. It measures 66 x 72mm and fits the Cokin A filter holder.

This is a UV filter with a very subtle yellow component. �I use it mostly with 35mm Fujichrome in my desert locale, where it reduces haze a bit, then adds just a touch of yellow, which gently boosts the subdued greens of desert flora (e.g. cactus). �In most cases, I prefer to warm my shots with yellow, rather than red, as I don't like pinked-up clouds. �This A231 filter was special-order, but the wait was worth it.
