Does anyone know if this matches the pinouts on the Avantone Pro CK-40?
Asked by: Matt
So far this cable has been compatible with all microphones that sport a 5-pin connection (Sennheiser, Audio-Technica and more). That being said, Avatone suggested that there are no standards and upon request ([email protected]), they will email you the pin schematics. P.S. ck-40 ships with a break out box. If the box is still functional and present, any 5-pin to 5-pin cable should definitely work.

question

I'm trying to send a phantom powered mono microphone to a USB audio interface. Was hoping I could send it to two XLR inputs and get stereo sound. Will this do the trick and also provide phantom power?
Asked by: Bobby
Unfortunately, the Remote Audio 5-Pin Stereo XLR Female to Dual XLR Male Y-Cable cannot be used with a mono microphone. A mono microphone alone is not adequate for stereo recordings. Shure makes the VP88; a single point stereo microphone ideal for location, broadcast and live performance recordings. For 5.1 surround sound recording, Holophone H2-PRO.

Will this also work with the schoeps cable https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1513008-REG/schoeps_ak_2l_su_adapter_cable_2_lemo_to.html ?
Asked by: Vinay
The Schoeps AK 2L/SU Adapter Cable with two LEMO connectors and an XLR-5M is intended for use with a pair of Schoeps CCM-L Microphones which are equipped with LEMO output connectors. The Remote Audio CAXSTE 5-Pin Stereo XLR Female to Dual XLR Male Y-Cable can be used with the Schoeps cable to enable connection of the pair of microphones to two standard XLR 3-pin mic inputs.
