The Lightware Z300 Long lens 300 Case (Black) is designed to carry a Nikon, Canon or other 300mm f/2.8 lens. The case is made from ballistics nylon with fabric covered closed-cell foam and the case is water-resistant. The zippered flip lid has a detachable interior zippered "Trap Pack" pocket to hold an SLR camera body, film, or accessories. The "Trap Pack" can be removed and there is enough room to place the lens with an SLR camera body attached into the case. There is a quick-release Fastex buckle that allows the lid to be closed without having to zip it up. There are adjustable exterior straps to hold a monopod and exterior pockets on three sides for press passes, pens and pencils, important papers, or optional detachable "Z" pockets. The lens case is carried by a cushioned handle and an attached adjustable shoulder strap.

Z300 Long lens 300 Case is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for the Canon 200 f/2. Excellent case for the Canon 200 f/2 lens and a pro body. I use it with the 1DM4 body attached and it fits perfectly snug with the accessory piece still in the lid area. The monopod attachement works well and allows you to walk around hands free with the body, lens and monopod.Gave it 4 stars due to the zipper being a bit short which causes the lid to be stiff. This causes it to be semi-spring loaded which makes it hard to get the lens/body out of the case as the lid is always trying to close itself. Also, the strap is permanently attached and cannot be removed from the case.Protect those $$$ lenses and buy this case.Images on http://www.studio1930.com and http://kcseniorpictures.com

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice case. Appears to be designed for a Canon 300 f/2.8 lens, but it's a tight fit with a body attached. The top compartment, designed to hold a separate body (not attached to the camera), does not allow you to use all the room when the lens is attached a body. It could be designed better and it would be nice to be able to detach the shoulder strap. Other than those gripes this is a well made case that offers plenty of protection for a prized lens plus it doesn't advertise what's inside the thing like Canon's hard case does.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the Right Size This case is simple, the Canon 300 2.8 fits well inside it, my LensCoat cover doesn't get displaced or wrinkled as it is roomy enough and I love the fact that my monopod mounts on the side. It makes transporting my gear easy and efficient. The removable pocket at the top protects the lens when you have extra straps or quick release plates stored there. With it removed, a camera can fit mounted to the lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ver Cool Bag Have had this bag shipped to New Zealand - amazingly quick and efficient service! The bag itself is a step up from LowePro in quality. Perfect for 300mm f/2.8. Extra pocket in lid useful but not going to fit a 1 series camera in here - a 5D size probably would. Carry strap excellent well padded.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful case for Canon 300 f/2.8 I've owned a Canon 300 f/2.8 (non-IS) for almost 20 years. Still a phenomenal lens, but the original leather/cardboard case was falling apart. After doing a good bit of research, I went with this Z300 case. Good choice! It snugly fits the 300 f/2.8 lens with lens hood, leather lens cap and quick release plate attached. By removing the interior top pocket, I can also store a 5D Mk II with battery grip on top of the lens. The case has plenty of padding: front, sides, bottom and top. I have no fears about putting it back in the trunk of my car like normal. A close contender was the Domke case, but I ultimately went with this because it is made from tough ballistic nylon instead of canvas, which wears and fades. It has tight slim pockets on three sides suitable for pens, credentials and reporter's notebooks. It also has a permanent and padded carry grip on top for shlepping the beast and an adjustable shoulder strap. The only odd design quirk is that the shoulder strap is permanently attached. Still, you can tuck the strap away or shorten it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrrific case for a 300 f/2.8 lens After many years, my old Canon leather/cardboard lens case died a horrible death and I went shopping for a new case. I received this Lightware Z300 case...It snugly fits my Canon 300 f/2.8 lens with lens hood, leather lens cap and quick release plate attached. By removing the interior top pocket, I can also store a bulky 5D Mk II with battery grip on top of the lens. The case has plenty of padding: front, sides, bottom and top. It also has a padded hand grip on top for shlepping the beast and an adjustable shoulder strap. The only odd design quirk is that the shoulder strap is permanently attached instead of using quick release snaps and D rings. Still, you can tuck the strap away or shorten it. Overall, I'm very pleased with the Z300.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Lens Protection Perfect fit for the Canon 300mm 2.8. Case is well made and offers great protection. Will not worry about lens whether its slung over shoulder in woods or in the trunk of the car.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seems to be top quality I've not put it through the paces of taking it out to events, but what impresses me is that this bag is so compact for the large set of equipment it will hold. Seems 1st class.
