The Lightware Z600 Long lens 600 Case (Black) is designed to carry a Nikon, Canon or other 500mm or 600mm f/4.0 lens. The case is made from ballistics nylon with fabric covered closed-cell foam, and the case is water-resistant. The zippered flip lid has a detachable interior zippered "Trap Pack" pocket to hold an SLR camera body, film, or accessories. The "Trap Pack" can be removed and there is enough room to place the lens with an SLR camera body attached into the case. There is a quick-release Fastex buckle that allows the lid to be closed without having to zip it up. There are adjustable exterior straps to hold a monopod and exterior pockets on three sides for press passes, pens and pencils, important papers, or optional detachable "Z" pockets. The lens case is carried by a cushioned handle and an attached, adjustable shoulder strap.

Lightware Long lens Case Overview

The Lightware Z600 Long lens 600 Case (Black) is designed to carry a Nikon, Canon or other 500mm or 600mm f/4.0 lens. The case is made from ballistics nylon with fabric covered closed-cell foam, and the case is water-resistant. The zippered flip lid has a detachable interior zippered "Trap Pack" pocket to hold an SLR camera body, film, or accessories. The Sony 400 - 800 Zoom Has An Unusual Size . This Makes It Hard To Find A Transport Case For It For. I Have Found This Case To Fit The Lens With A Sony Mirrorless On It Fairly Well The Case Seems To Have A Good Build Quality And Is Made Of Durable Material

This bag works for all of my long lens options plus bodies with room to spare. Typical Lightware stellar quality. Side loops would be nice to attach pouches. I have a number of Lightware power pack cases from years ago, and this case did not disappoint. I do use Tenba protective wraps folded to take up the side spaces around the lenses and bodies to tighten things up inside during transport. Quite pleased with this bag.

Unfortunately, the Lightware Z600 Long lens 600 Case is too small for the Nikon Z9 attached to the Nikkor Z 600mm f/4 TC lens.

Will a Nikon 600mm f/4E FL ED VR lens with a Lenscoat lens cover on it fit in this case? Can the lens be inserted or removed without peeling back the Lenscoat covering? Thanks!

I have used this lightwave case with my Nikon FL VR 600mm lens and my camera attached for many years. I have taken it to Churchill for polar bear mother and cubs and Africa for all manner of cats. You do have to reverse to lens hood though. I do have lens coat on my lens and a really right stuff L bracket on my camera; a Nikon 850. I take a soft wrap lens hood from aquatech to Churchill that fits along the long edge of the bag instead of the hard hood so the bag fits better in the overhead in the plane from Winnipeg to Churchill. Otherwise, I take this setup everywhere, including driving trips for birds in Van Couver.

Can this bag fit Canon 300mm 2.8 with hood attached to lens? Or just the lens? And can it fit also Canon R3 with 1.4 x extender?

The Lightware Z300 Long lens 300 Case's camera pouch is a little too small to accommodate the Canon EOS R3 Mirrorless Camera (B&H #CAER3), but the Canon EF 300mm f/2.8L IS II USM Lens with the lens hood detached will fit well inside the bag.

What is the internal height of the case with the "Trap Pack" removed?

It is roughly 13.5 inches tall. Since the interior is soft, slightly larger items can fit when the material compresses.

The Lightware Z300 is 11 inches tall for the interior which is fine for the Nikon 500mm PF lens alone but not with a camera attached.
