I added this to my current 322RC2 so I could easily switch from Horizontal to vertical mounting of the head. Works great!

The Manfrotto 322RA Quick Release Adapter will not be perfectly level by itself; it is meant to attach to a ball head.

Does this product work with the 680B monopod?

No, this assembly is not compatible with the Manfrotto 680B monopod. This is a special replacement adapter for a specific head (322RC2 head). Below is a link to a similar quick release adapter system that would fit onto the 680B monopod. I am including a second link below that for a recommended monopod tilt head which features the same quick release assembly on it, which would allow you to articulate the camera.
