The Quantum Qflash T and X Series Bare Bulb Enhancer (Gold) is a polished satin gold reflector which spreads the flash output 180° from the bare bulb of the Quantum T5dR, Trio, T4d (discontinued) and X5dR flash heads. It's ideal for covering large groups or evenly lighting large scenes, while reducing falloff at the corners by spreading the light softly and evenly. Gold tone adds warmth for candids and portraiture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works where others will not Need to provide even and powerful light for a very large room or large group? Need to photography people at a reception or other event without having to carry your flash with you? Then put this on your Quantum flash, connect via wireless, and shoot with the knowledge that your photographs will be evenly illuminated and practically jump off the page. The unit provides full 180 degree coverage and, depending on the quantum flash you use, plenty of power. I use the T5d-R and find it provides the kind of light I want with little to no effort on my part. For best results, mount your flash on a light stand and bounce the light off a large wall or corner of the room make sure you do a custom white balance first. You can also use it facing forward with equally impressive results. You won't be disappointed with this item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding addition to my Set The Bare Bulb Enhancer is a very simple device, not very exciting to look at, but its become a very valuable part of my lighting kit. It really lights up a room, putting out a wide spray of light. It's great for large group shots and very useful at wedding receptions. I can place my QT5dr on a light stand in a corner of the room and light up the dance floor, freeing me to shoot without having to tote around the light and battery pack. Also works great on my Trio on camera. If you are a Quantum user, you will want to add this to your bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So efficient, I purchased another. Being a professional photographer and designer, I recently used this enhancer with my T5d during a wedding reception--provided the ability to get all the weight off of my camera and roam the room with ease. I then photographed a plant having large 100+' printing presses. I was able to light up each entire press with my X5d and 400 watts--amazing. I cannot wait for the opportunity to light up an entire ballroom without light falloff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An essential light modifier for wider angle coverage This is the first modifier you should add to your Quantum/Norman/Lumedyne/Godox/etc for wider angle coverage. It will cover the 16mm focal length of my Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM zoom lens. The instructions call for two clicks downward angle on my Quantum TRIO Basic for Canon for the best exposures. I leave it on my TRIO all the time and never use the Quantum Instruments Reflector for Q Flash.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very useful Well made, metal chrome accessory for Quantum flashes for instances when you want to spread your flash for wide shots (e.g.: large groups of people) when a white wall for bouncing is not available. For outside shots, maybe the gold version could be somewhat more useful but adding a CTO (or 1/2 CTO) to the silver version could do in a pinch.
