The Shure PA215 is a splitter cable, with TA4M and TA4F connectors for lavalier, headset and instrument microphones, that splits the signal from the mic for connection to a P2R receiver and a wireless transmitter simultaneously. An in-line preamp allows the user to adjust the level of his or her instrument in the personal mix, without the assistance of a soundboard operator. The cable is compatible with all Shure bodypacks except for the T1G.
The PA215 also enables the addition of another element to the personal mix, independent of the house monitor mix. For example, a singing bassist can have the band mix and his or her vocal microphone signals transmitted from the P2T, while adding the Bass signal directly into the P2R, and retaining control of the Bass level in his or her personal mix, independent of the signal being sent to the wireless receiver.
