The DF120 is an ultra-compat slave flash, compatible with most Digital cameras that have a built-in flash. The embedded intelligent circuitry in the DF-120 Digital Flash "Learns" the characteristic flash profile for any digital camera. Ordinary slave units will not work with most digital cameras because these cameras use a very rapid series of pre-flashes. A typical slave unit will fire on the pre-flash it senses while the digital camera captures the image on the last flash. Thus, the extra light from the slave does not show up in the digital camera photo. This flash is designed to fire on the correct flash sensed by the built-in optical sensor and circuitry, thus solving the digital camera flash problem.
Learning from the camera's built-in flash ensures perfect compatibility and the 5600K color temperature makes natural fill lighting easy. The included strobe holder, multi-angle stand, and camera bracket help to make attaching the flash as easy as it is to use.
