The Rycote Modular Extension #2 is designed to extend the Rycote Modular Windshield system. The Modular Extension increases the size of the Modular Windshield allowing use with longer microphones. The windshield system is devised of the main body, including the windshield's mid-section and 2 end caps.
The Windshield body and Extensions are available in different sizes and are identified with a numerical designation (1 through 4). Combinations of specific windshield and extension models are necessary to meet the size requirements for certain microphone lengths. Hytrel Plastic Construction
A material called Hytrel is used on the end rings and shield. The material aids in creating the "dead" space necessary for quiet operation.
Interlocking Ends
Modular locking end rings provide quick and easy replacement of dented ends and modular extensions.
