Hi there, Nicholas: thanks very much for your question. This product is intended for use on its own (i.e. without/in place of our fur Windjammers). You can use it over the basket and then apply a Windjammer on top, but this mostly leads to reduced high frequency content, and doesn't have that much benefit in terms of additional wind protection. The HWC is a good option on its own if you need something less obtrusive than fur, or don't want to suffer as much HF loss > c. 6000 Hz. That said, our fur is renowned for its high level of acoustic transparency, so the other/more important aspect to consider might be whether you intend to use your windshield in very windy conditions. For that, chose a Windjammer; for moderate winds, the HWC would perhaps be a good bet. Hope that helps! MF.
