The Lumedyne Next Generation 400 watt/second Extra Fast power pack is the natural evolution of the existing Lumedyne system. It is backward compatible with boosters, high speed modules, chargers and flash heads. Existing heads plug directly into the pack, while the Next Generation heads use an extension cord or head cable to plug into the pack.
The pack offers a 7 light battery gauge and 4 F-stops of manual control through one or two flash heads. 7 F-stop control is possible with an optional Auto Module. It is straightforward and simple to operate with one main control and an On/Off button for the battery gauge.
One or two flash heads may be used in manual without needing extra adapters. The very low power settings help with faster film speeds, digital cameras and confined spaces, and conserve battery power. The head included in this kit has a 25 watt modeling light, straight power cable, and can handle up to 800 w/s of stored power. The head has dual sync jacks -- Monoplug and 2-Bladed Household.
Larger capacity batteries are available; the Mini battery will not work with this pack.
Can handle 2400 w/s; limited to power by the 800 w/s or 2400 w/s quartz flashtube that is chosen.
