Heavy duty stand. I used adapter to mount a small ball head and use with a Canon R5 and M5. Works great to have the leveling leg. Happy with my purchase.

Great Product!

With camera and lens I have 8lbs. on the unit. With full extension you will get some movement due to how long it is, but with a slight wind I felt I would need to physically pull it over to make it fall. This was with no additional straps to hold. The built quality to extremely sturdy.

Can you attach a Nikon SB-5000 Speedlight to this? If so, will it require a special adapter?
Asked by: Khody
The Manfrotto Snap Tilthead with Shoe Mount B&H # MAMLH1HS can be placed over the 5/8" stud that pops up on the end of the stand in order to hold the SB-5000. https://bhpho.to/2vfPImD

question

Can the stand be broken down to a short length so that it can fit in a normal car trunk?
Asked by: francis v.
If it doesn't fit.. you can take it apart pretty easily to fit into a smaller case.. I do it when I fly.. Remove the section second from the top. All it takes is an Alan Wrench.

I used this, the platform has 2 options, and the 5/8 spiggot works great with my video camera.

question

Hello! What specific adapter do I need to mount a tripod head on? The male/female terminology is confusing.
Asked by: Anonymous
This pripod has a threaded 3/8 post. This is the standard size for attaching heads to tripods. Every tripod head I own works on this unit.

question

How is this different from the 24' high Manfrotto camera stand, which is $150 more?
Asked by: Nathan
I don't know the difference. I use it for a mic stand for recording, so I needed the proper threads for the mic clip adaptor plus the height. It is heavy, but very sturdy for the small amount of weight I am attaching to it.
