    Manfrotto 269HDBU reviews

269HDBU Super High Aluminum Stand with Leveling Leg - Black - 24' is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great solution for high mounted lights I sometimes shoot sports in a high-ceiling area. The activity is randomly moving and ranges widely. I don't have access to a catwalk. With these stands, I can place my lights high enough that the atheletes, audience, officials, and scorekeepers don't get bothered. Moreover, I can range around the area and don't have to worry about shooting into bright lights or trying to juggle trigger channels. The light is natural, since it is from overhead, and there are no strange reflections. Wind is not a factor since this is indoors. These stands are lighter and pack smaller than the alternatives. In a pinch, the stand can be used to hold a camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For a great perspective It's the best I can do short of a drone. This is a studio stand. It's heavy and bulky and best with no wind. I've mounted a full sized DSLR with an 80-400 zoom on a motorized head extending some 18 feet up ... outdoors. Fun. I added 30 lb to the base and even then I was sweating bullets until finished. Now at the same height with a smaller lens and calmer day it was tolerable, but adding guide wires came to mind. Solid build, positive locking large diameter extensions make this a five star stand and I'll add another one in the next few

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works good as a 20 foot stand I use this for real estate and panorama photography, with a motorized pan head and dslr on top with an adapter and series of washers. No need to spend $ for the slight upgrade model with camera mount and 3 adjustable legs, unless money is no object, in which case you should buy a stronger stand. With a level and one adjustable leg and some shims, you can level this fairly easily. With any weight on the top of the stand, it is only good up to 20 feet, since you have to fully extend it before you can secure it with guy ropes, and when the top thin tube is extended on top of 4 other sections, it becomes very unstable, which is not good when you have an expensive camera on it. Best to ignore that it has a top section and use it as a 20 foot stand unless using it just for speedlight or small inexpensive camera. That being said, it does provide a great new perspective for Real Estate and panorama photography as a starter stand. See recommended If you get this home and are practicing using it in your own yard, your neighbours may think you're spying on them! One of mine even called the police! :o

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Standing Tall! This stand is just what I needed to get over trees and bushes for obstruction free scenics! Also, It's handy for a better perspective in low areas where the sky and foreground predominate excessively! A great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Needs a little customizing... Inexpensive solution, but not stable without guidelines. I use 4 bright color para cord guidelines into metal stakes in the ground. Holds it quite stable. Almost perfectly still in most wind. Obviously, don't use it on really windy days. Breezy days are no problem with guidelines. I use it with a motor head and CamRanger. Paid for itself quickly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value on a super-tall stand Very happy with this purchase. The stand is incredibly high and very stable. All components are solid. The only downside is that the stand is quite heavy, but I'm not sure that can be avoided with a stand of this size.
