The J-30 is a video tape playback machine for the entire range of Betacam-derived ½-inch formats. Those formats include Betacam, Beta SP, Beta SX, MPEG/IMX and Digital Betacam. The tape player works with both NTSC and PAL recorded material. To fit into any modern or existing edit suite the unit outputs iLink (which is Sony's version of FireWire) along with analog component video for very stable Beta SP import quality.
Analog or Digital Video Outputs
The J-30 accepts any of the Sony Beta-derived formats and outputs your choice of FireWire or analog component video. The machine also outputs time-code signals independently via a BNC connector. The formats include Betacam, Beta SP, Beta SX, MPEG/IMX and Digi-Beta.
Audio Output
The J-30 has 2 XLR and 2 RCA audio outputs that can access 2 separate pairs of audio channels. The user can select from channels 1 and 2 or channels 3 and 4. These channels are also selected for headphone monitoring also.
