The M-Audio Nova is a cost effective large diaphragm studio condenser microphone intended for general project studio recording of vocals and general instruments. The capsule and body are constructed of solid brass, featuring a 1.1" diameter evaporated gold diaphragm.
The capsule features a cardioid polar pattern which is effective in minimizing noise at the off axis sections of the microphone. Noise caused by ambiance, additional instruments and monitor speakers are greatly reduced, resulting in high signal-to-noise and gain-before-feedback response. The wide frequency response of 20Hz to 18kHz assures smooth, accurate signal irrespective of the source. Class-A FET output electronics provide high output gain with low noise floor.
