From Ambient Recordings, this QuickLok Spare Tip is identical to those included in the QuickLok Quick Release Microphone Mounting System. The tips interlock with the main stud in a twist-lock motion. The spare tip replaces any lost or damaged tips included with the Quick Release system.

I've used this extensively since I got it back in April. It's still working as expected, has not once failed me and keeps up very well. I'm not looking in any other direction for mic quick release, that's for sure.
