This clamp features a double speed tightening knob that opens and closes twice as fast as standard clamps. The knob is also permanently secured and cannot fall off or be lost. It is rubber-coated and allows for more certain operation in cold conditions. This clamp has a spring-loaded detent pin which helps prevent accidental release of the quick release plate. Weighing just 3 oz, stainless steel construction and the black anodized finish nevertheless give this clamp a solid feel. It has a 3/8"-16 mounting thread and comes with a 1/4"-20 adapter, so it will fit virtually any tripod head.

I bought this to use to mount my Canon R5 on the Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer 2i. The tightening know is far enough out that there is no problem with it conflicting with the mount,

I cant say enough about Acratech products. Their items scream quality. While being pricey, what isnt these days? You get what you pay for. I use this as part of a system to mount a camera and long lens to a goto star tracker. Highly recommend!

Will it be compatible with my 494 RC2 manfrotto ball head or I need an adapter?
Manfrotto has a notched stem. We have clamps that will work but they are not on the web.
