I'm planning on using this to mount my DSLR on a DIY rig. Is it possible to easily remove/insert the rubber piece that the camera rests on for screw placement?
I would not recommend removing the rubber as it would leave a residue behind.

I need a quick release plate. Tripod imprinted with following, Gemini Photo/video J44260. Which plate would work ?
No, sorry, I needed the same thing - and this did NOT work. I ended up calling the tripod people and they said they did not have info on a replacement quick release. :(I ended up using a regular plate on mine.
