I bought this one to use when I have a small lens and I am on the tripod works great the one that came with my gimbel keeps coming loose , so I may try to replace it with the same brand

Has anyone used this mounting plate with a Really Right Stuff ball head?
Our plates are Arca style and RRS clamps are Arca Style so they should work fine.

Can I use this plate to attach my ad200pro light to (a stand or...) a tripod or light stand with a compatible clamp?
I don't see why not provided the clamp is an Acra-Swiss type clamp.

The Acratech Arca-Type Universal Quick Release Plate will be compatible with the D7100 with and without the MB-D15 battery grip attached. It can be used with GV2 head as well.

Will this plate work on the R50 body to allow the battery/SD card slots to open fully as my RRS plate does not ? Thank you.
