I've always had trouble with my large telephoto lens coming loose on my tripod with the smaller 1 quick release plates. This 4 model is perfect. The lip on the end gives helps with the grip. Recently took it out and had no slippage problems at all.

This plate fits perfectly on to the handle of this lens. I love the look and the feel of the lens handle and did not want to replace with other handle.
