How does this work with the Meade LX 600 12”? Would it be too much? I would like to do planetary photography with either a Nikon D750 or a Nikon Z6. Thanks

This would work with the LX600,but might be very dark/distorted. You can definitely try it with the Scope. The View just might be a little grainy due to the high magnification.

Hi can someone help me, I have Tele Vue 85 - 600mm and will connect this to a Canon 5D M4 that I have, and then insert. Tele Vue 4x Powermate (2 ") (PMT4201) + Tele Vue SLR prime focus camera adapter for 2" focusers (ACM2000) + Kowa TSN -CM2 T- Mount camera adapter ring Canon EF (CM2-CE) + Canon 5D M4. Will this work regarding focus?

That would be the best combination I would try.

question

I have a 2x Powermate and mount it directly to the 90 degree Televue Everbrite dielectric on my TV-85 for viewing with both the eyepieces and attaching my DSLR via the Powermate adapter with T-ring. Is this how the 4x mounts as well?

If I undestand your question correctly, I say YES. I have used my 4x Powermate on my Meade 7 LX200 Mak-Cass with a 2 Diagonal. I dont really need that much magnification on my scope when viewing VISUALLY, why I bought it was for shooting Prime Focus using my Canon T3i DSLR. For this it performed flawlessly. Im pretty sure you are aware these Powermates are a step up from the lowly Barlow and its quite noticable once you've used both and compared the differences ! Just be sure you have the 2 adapter if you are using this 2 Powermate. Aside from that, keep looking up ! :-)

question

Does 4X powermate, 2 , fits in to SCT rear cell adopter(2 ) or directly in to SCT rear cell(I have 8 SCT). In other words how do I hook up this 2 powermate to rear of 8 SCT.Second Question: I have a cannon DSLR with T ring and 2 adopter. Does this works with this?.
Asked by: Anonymous
This piece has no thread, so you have to have an adapter for your SCT rear cell (same as you would require for either 2'' diagonal or a 2'' eyepiece). If you have one, you can hook it up just as you could hook up any 2'' eyepiece or a diagonal. Powermate will also accept a DSLR with a 2'' male adapter, however, there is a special ring from TeleVue that can replace the original barrel, so that you screw your DSLR closer to an optical element.
