Does this work on a Sky-Watcher 8" f/5.9 Traditional Dobsonian Telescope? If yes, would I need anything else (some adapter)? Would there be any better option for my telescope (at comparable price)?
Asked by: Mitchell
This Barlow would be better because it is a 2 inch mount just like the eyepiece mount of your telescope.; https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/329480-REG/Tele_Vue_PMT_4201_4x_Powermate_2.html If you want to use the Tele Vue 2x Barlow Lens (1.25") on your scope , you would need a 1.25 to 2 inch adapter. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/457656-REG/Lumicon_LA1055_1_25_Male_to_2.html?sts=pi&pim=Y

I am planning to combine this Barlow Lens with the Tele Vue DeLite Series 3mm Eyepiece, and the Celestron 8" Edge HD. Would this work?
Asked by: Christoph
The maximum useful magnification for the Edge 8 Hd is 480x. If you get a higher magnification eyepiece you will not be able to focus the telescope. It will be too blurry and difficult to focus with anything higher than a 7mm eyepiece. So I would not recommend this Barlow but instead just a 7mm eyepiece such as this: https://bhpho.to/37VnNbj
