Tele Vue's adapters use a brass clamping ring to fully encircle the device you're attaching, as opposed to other's efforts which just use a set screw.

This adapter is extremely well machined and the balance is exquisite. They even got the perfect shade of brass for it to complement the green tube on my TV85!

Very high quality product. Works great like all Televue products. Well thought out design. If you use a variety of eyepieces of different weights, the 12 ounces is good. Especially with the Televue lines. For example, it brings my 13 ethos to about the weight of my 31 Nagler.
