Tele Vue 49mm Radian Digiscoping Adapter

Tele Vue's Eyepiece Adapter rings, available in sizes to fit cameras with 28mm, 37mm & 49mm filter specifications, allow great "afocal" ultratelephoto photography. "Afocal" refers to the gathered light between the telescope eyepiece and the camera's lens.

For the least chance of vignetting(darkening of the image's corners) and the best image quality, the best Tele Vue eyepieces to use with your camera are the longer eye relief models. This includes the Radian series, the 32mm & 40mm Plossl designs, the 27mm & 35mm Panoptics and the 12mm, 17mm & 22mm Type 4 Naglers. The 31mm Type 5 Nagler also works well. You'll need to experiment with the zoom setting of your camera for the best results-assuming, of course, that your camera has a zoom setting.

The Radian eyepieces work best with the Radian adpater rings, allowing the optimal placement of the camera relative to the eyepiece.
