Best way to adapt your TV scope to a Vixen-style mount

TeleVue is sometimes knocked for their mounting system, but it does work very well on TeleVue mounts. It’s very secure, and the OTA can be rotated or slid in the mount to adjust balance without the need for tools. To use TeleVue OTAs on a Vixen mount, you have two choices: Bolt a Vixen style dovetail bar to the TeleVue clamshell, or use this adapter- and the adapter has the advantage of still being able to use a TeleVue mount. This adapter is a solid piece of aluminum with excellent machining all around. Holes are precisely drilled and threaded. All edges are nicely radiused. I’m currently using it with my TV Pronto, which gets switched between my TV TelePod and a Vixen porta-Mount, and I’m thinking of getting a second one for my nenTV-85.

I want to mount my D-SLR onto an equatorial telescope mount ("vixen" saddle). Want to just screw it on the camera, pop it on the telescope mount, and go. Will this do it? If not, what will?

The TeleVue adapter will not fit a camera. This Losmandy plate would be needed instead: https://bhpho.to/35qaIaF
