Yes it can depending on what you need it to do.
It can start/stop record and control focus but it will not be able to zoom in or out unless you are using one of Canon's Cine-zoom lenses that feature a motorized zoom ring.

If you get two adapter cables, yes, you can use the VZRock or any LANC zoom control to control the zoom on the AX-100. While this is awkward, it is the one workaround available. Here are the two cables. Manfrotto AV-R to LANC Cable (7.8 ) B&H # MA522AV. Sony VMC-AVM1 A/V R Adapter Cable B&H # SOVMCAVM1.

It does not. The DVX200 uses the two plug system for a controller. Instead you would need BH #VAVZROCKPZFI which has the proper connections for the DVX200 and will allow you to control the Zoom, Focus, Iris and Start/Stop Recording.
