Good specialized item to have in the tool kit

With real estate on cameras diminishing - video transmitters and extra monitors being strapped everywhere, it is nice to have a designed solution for mounting audio transmitters to an ENG camera. If you use straddle bags over the battery makes brick swaps for the operator inconvenient, so this bracket allows easy mounting of an industry standard BEC box or Anton's own wireless plate off to the side, out of the way, and opposite of the operator's side of the camera.

In my opinion this is a necessary addition to any professional ENG camcorder. It installs easily between the camera and battery plate. Allows for quick attachment of a variety of Anton Bauer mounting solutions. A must have!

Will it also work between a cheese plate (has holes for both IDX and Anton Bauer) and a V-lock plate?
Anton Bauer says this works with their Matrix Cheese plates and their V mount plate. Since these accessories are fairly standard in their design, it is our opinion that the Universal BP Backplate should work with your cheese and V mount plates.

No, This plate is designed to fit and work with Anton Bauer Gold mount plates. Sony cameras would have a V-Mount.
