Incorporating only (8) high-density 32MB SDRAM chips into its compact design, the 256MB PC2700 runs faster than many other comparable models with a higher number of smaller-capacity chips.

Synchronous Dynamic RAM (SDRAM)

Serial Presence Detect (SPD) with EEPROM

200-Pin Dual In-Line Memory Module (DIMM)
This module is designed for mounting into 200-pin edge connector sockets. DIMMs have a different set of pins on each side of the memory module, effectively doubling the data bandwidth to 64-bits.
