Samson SASRK21 Overview

The Samson Universal Rack Stand SRK21 is a rugged, steel universal rack stand featuring fully enclosed side panels. It stands on (4) heavy-duty, 3" casters with locking fronts, making movement of the cabinet a breeze. It was designed for 19" equipment and offers 21U of space. Included with the rack is a single-space, flanged blank panel. Its unique steel support-bar construction also allows this rack to be used with either European or U.S. thread sizes.

This is a rugged, quality rack, well built, easy to put together, and highly functional. Rackmount screws included. The (visible) top surface was scuffed in 3 places, I think due to packaging, transportation. Still functional, but a cosmetic disappointment.

I don't know how they do it for the money! This exceeded expectations and is more rigid and solid than I expected. I have it loaded up with some heavy drawers and a rack mounted PC, etc. It is certainly up for the task and I imagine this will be in service for years to come!

Does this Samson unit be able to fit analog gear like compressors, interfaces, eq's etc.? Just trying to find the right rack cabinet for placing all my analog gear.

This rack stand is not designed to have a door. You may consider a case, such as the Gator Cases GR8L Standard Rack Case, BH #GAGR8, which has 8 spaces and a removable front and back cover.

Does the 20" height include the castors, or do they add an additional 3"?

The height of this rack is 20" WITH the castors; it is 8 rack units: (8 x 1.75"= 14"), plus the frame on top and bottom, which is a total of 3" plus the 3" CASTORS, FOR A TOTAL of 20".
