It is the perfect size for what I needed, plus it is lighter in weight than I had expected. The blade cuts well without having a super-sharp edge. Im glad I got it.

A sturdy metal body cutter. The guide stop is perfect for making duplicate cuts. Handles 12*12 paper but I would say not to cut more than 6 sheets at a time for smooth cuts. Guide and guide lines were accurate and square. Giving only four stars because screws holding bottom cutter bar were extremely loose (2 actually were found in the packing).If I had not read the other reviews I would have tried to cut some paper, hit a protruding screw, and put a bad nick in the top cutter ruining the trimmer.

This cutter has 7 41/2* B&H customer reviews so other people like it too. However, an extensive search did not find any mention of the blade being self sharpening.
