A review mentions using the boom to attach a DSLR for overhead photos. What adapter is used to attach a camera?
Asked by: Jeff
The Matthews Baby Ballhead Adapter, Part Number # 415173, will thread into the bottom of a ball head allowing it to mount onto the end of the Boom Arm. If you also need a Ball Head both the BH20 and BH30 are wonderful options.

question

Is it a 5/8 baby pin for the light stand connection?
Asked by: Stephen D.
Nope. That is the pin on the front of the boom that you can mount a light on. This boom has a male mount and typically is used on a medium roller.

question

What are some recommended studio stands for this boom?

The Junior Boom is works best with either Junior or Senior stand if you are using a large light box you may want to go with a senior stand that has a wider base than a Junior.

question

What is the max weight it can hold?
Asked by: ryan p.
The boom is extremely solid and heavy. I'd easily trust a 2k on the end of it if you have the right stand and proper sand bags. It's a beast!
