SP01 Spider Shock Mount (Silver) is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 53.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful product I bought this to use with my Audio-Technica AT2020USB+, as I didn't want to spend so much on their branded one, and it fit extremely well. I'm very happy with the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps mic steady and reduces bump noise I bought this to fit my AT2020 USB mic, which fits perfectly inside. I was concerned because I didn't understand how the mic would attach to the shock mount based on the picture, but once I got it home, I realized the round hole on top is actually a screw-tightening mechanism which you tighten to hold the microphone in place. Works very well. Recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from SP01 Shock Mount by Samson Affordable professional gear! I use it to sing / rap korean pop music. I'm just an amateur and this makes me feel more confident about my voice haha.First off the price for such a good quality shock mount was a steal. These usually go for more than $. The noise i was surprised was reduced significantly when recording. The only thing that isn't great is i suggest you would need to buy a boom stick to help mount this onto something. You can just mount it onto the tripod stand that originally comes with the microphone itself but it this product does not come packaged with a stand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT MOUNT! My Dad had a broken scissor arm lamp, and by removing the lamp and replacing its mounting screw with a new one from Home Depot, he was able to turn it into a mic arm for me! This shock mount screwed right on and my AT2020USB mic fits in this mount like it was made for it!! Now, after 30 minutes of adapting the arm, I have a studio quality mic and a studio quality shock mount. I plan to add a pop filter and I'll be set to record and will have spent less than $ on everything!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stabilizes my mic Does what it should. Isolates the microphone from vibrations that can come from your desk or people walking by while recording. I wish it had another axis of tilt but thats no big deal really.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great device for a DIY Boom-Head! The SP01 Shock Mount can easily be utilized as your typical steady container for microphones via studio, and/or recording, sessions. But as an independent filmmaker on a strict budget, this device definitely comes in handy. In doing research on cheap but durable and lightweight microphones--with great performance--I came across the Zoom H2 Recorder. This microphone I believe is very mind was blown at the amount of versatility that it was capable of when trying it out. It was perfect for General recordings, documentary gigs, and even Boom-related projects (i.e. fictional narratives, online sketches, and indie shorts). But when it came to researching a dependable and cheap Boom-Pole, my luck wasn't favored. So I began looking for ways to take a more DIY approach. Which is when I came across Samson's SP01 Shock Mount. Talk about 'God-Sent!' In purchasing this device I immediately went to my local Hardware store and bought some washers and a few screws. With my Dad being Music Producer, I broke down and unscrewed one of his mic-stands, taking off the heavy foundation and mic-head holder. This was to be my DIY Boom-Pole. The SP01 arrives and I immediately begin my little experiment--taking the device and utilizing the washers and screws to hold my H2 Zoom Recorder in place. Finishing it all off by twisting the SP01's head-screw onto the head of the now broken down mic-stand. This was a remarkable solution that didn't cost me much and still gets the job done! Things I Like About My New Set Up: - Dependable device, that's cheap and durable. - The SP01 is a dependable Boom-Head that admits great sound when you know what you want to use it for. - Great for indie-filmmakers who need a quick Boom set up, but don't want to go over budget. - Great for documentary recordings, external audio for fictional narratives and recording actors. - A God Sent device! Things I Dislike About The Device: - The SP01's Screw-Head can get a little loose when pointing H2 Zoom upward, to capture audio from a low angle (but this is not the fault of the company's's only because I went the DIY route. I've recently fixed that problem by applying tape around the Screw-Head and Boom-Head of the self-made Boom-Pole. Overall, the Samson SP01 Shock Mount has been a great addition to my portable film-set. As I've had many clients, subjects, and on-lookers comment on my fixture asking, Is that a boom-mic? Where can one find one of those? ...also, I really love how minimalist your approach to filmmaking is, we finished this faster than I expected! ...Furthurmore, if you're looking for a solution to your 'Holding-Your-Mic-Place' needs, then the SP01 is the way to go! I haven't tried any other mic set ups (i.e. the Zoom H4n, etc.) but I'm a sure similar solution can be manifested.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice for the price I was and am impressed with how well built these are. It is great that all the crucial parts are made of metal instead of plastic, which tends to break way to easily. In fact the only plastic part if the thumb screw which if nessiscary could be easily and cheaply replace with a quick trip to the hardware store. Haven't yet used it live, but the elastic seems to have appropriate tension to keep vibration noise and shock minimized. Overall, appears and feels like a good product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Shock Mount Nice and quite a good price. I use it with the AT 2020 USB condensor and it works great! And a lot cheaper than the one AT offers.
