    Avenger RH353 reviews

RH353 Reflector Holder with Mini Grip Head is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value This really is an extra pair of hands. My main gig is environmental portraits so I'm always looking for ways to keep my gear lightweight and portable - even better if I can work without an assistant. I was very pleasantly surprised by this grip as its very well made and easily holds a 42 reflector. I haven't had a problem with five-way reflectors - the jaws on the grip-blocks seem wide enough and strong enough. Maybe Manfrotto have upgraded them based on negative feedback.Anyway this little grip is easy to carry and stow with my other lighting gear and I'm very happy with it. It looks as though it will stand up to being on the road everyday and I guess time will tell but it seems solid enough to take a beating.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Steady Angle After trying other reflector holders, I was happy to settle on this one. Is it perfect? No. Other holders had the problem where the clamp that attaches to the stand was a bit flimsy and the reflector would drift. This reflector holder uses a mini-grip head that stays in place without much effort. It is simple to adjust and the reflectors stay put. It would be a five star product if the connectors for the reflectors weren't just flexible rubber pieces, which do a fine job so far, but I can see these having some slip for larger or 5-in-1 reflectors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from RH 353 Collasible Reflector Holder Nicest holder I have used to date however special mention: The grip head does not attach to 5/8 stud light stands. It was designed to connect to the light stand extension tube under the stud. However, manipulating the grip head 180 degrees from the .05 to .075 holes I was able to attach the grip head to a 5/8 stud. Rubber cups work well and hold the reflector at any angle. Good price. Other reflector holders require counter weights. This grip head does not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality For a Very Good Price I've been a professional for 28 years and I shoot location outdoor portraits. From Avenger (Manfrotto) comes a reflector holder that easily supports the Westcott five-in-one reflector kit. Strong and dependable material that will give you years of service. I attach it to a Da-Lite background stand from B&H and it works perfectly for my location work. You can also use it to hold an overhead scrim above your model. Best holder for the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handle makes it more versatile The rubber grips seem to work well. On the end is a nice handle. This means you can also use the holder to help manually elevate a reflector overhead and hold it pretty securely. I didn't see this mentioned before.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality. What you would expect from Manfrotto I use this mainly as a set of hands to work my reflector when I'm taking portraits. I shoot on location most of the time, so I prefer to travel as light as possible. The thing ways next to nothing but the components are solid. It's quick and easy to set up, and it can hold very large reflectors. The only thing I wish it had was an attachment for strobe or a cold shoe so that it could be used as a boom also. Overall, very happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great holder The holders are made of harder rubber. You essentially slip the edge of any reflector that it will stay in place once both sides are attached. They don't slide around with the material and is very easy to assemble/disassemble. I was able to attach my 60 circular reflector with plenty of room. The overall construction being metal including the angle adjustment (which is generally made of plastic with cheaper brands) doesn't flex the unit in any way. The notches on the adjustment are also plenty so there's more fine adjustment I didn't find with other reflector holders. This reflector holder works with smaller diameter lighting stands. It won't work with background holders with thicker tubes. I would double check on the measurement. It did work perfectly fine with my PCB light duty stand. I believe it's identical to the one made by Impact.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job well. I use this reflector holder to hold a 52 circular reflector and it does the job nicely. The rubber clips grip the reflector edge well and the telescoping arm would allow for a number of different sized reflectors. The clamp that holds the arm also fits onto a standard light stand and can be manipulated to hold the reflector in a wide variety of positions.
