My nephew loves this microscope (he's 13) very easy set up and it's a nice break from him using other electronics (phone, computer, gaming systems etc...). He uses this nice size, light weight but sturdy piece of equipment - he calls himself a little scientist

This is a good microscope for under $100. I think that there should be a much better instruction manual, as well as owners. I was not looking for anything fancy so I am not dissapointed. There is no light on the scope so you really need excellent lighting, i found the best was outside in the sun.

My daughter is graduating high school and going off to college to persue a degree in Chemistry. This was an early Graduation gift and she is truly excited and has gone through all the slide making notes. It was the perfect gift, and I am so very glad that we found your site and ordered from you. Many Thanks for providing something so useful and intricate in furthering her education.

I'm one of those crazy scientists looking for insight into Bergson's elan vital in the invisible world. For the price, this must be one of the best buys around. Very strong construction. Clear view, even with a 25X eyepiece, giving it 1000X. Very little eye strain. I added the stage (a must for me) and an illuminator. I'm fascinated and can watch the amoebic cosmos for hours. I was going to upgrade to a Biorex -- but now I'm using the College 600X for my permanent lab piece.

Very solid product
