Sony SSCM183 Overview

The Sony SSC-M183 is a black and white CCTV camera with low light capability and AC or DC power options. The compact design of the camera body allows it to be placed almost anywhere security monitoring is necessary. The sophisticated list of exposure features starts with the internal CCD Iris that lets you use inexpensive manual iris lenses. The CS- lens mount gives the user access to a huge array of CS and C-mount lenses from ultra wide to telephoto to variable focal range. The 350 horizontal lines resolution provides critical details for the most descriptive images possible.

Black and White Images for Ultra Low Light Capture
Black and white video is inherently more sensitive than color video because much less processing power is required. Some 250,000 picture elements can see images in detail with as little as 0.03 Lux light which is almost complete darkness.
Dual Power Options
The M183 can fit into security systems that produce both 24 volt AC or 12 volt DC current. The camera can also be switched from DC auto iris (lens controlled) to Video auto iris which is controlled by the camera itself. In this camera the CCD has a function that acts as an iris controlling the light for the most usable images.
