The Core SWX NP-50 is a 13.2v, NP-style Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery. The NP-50 offers a current NP-style NiCd user an inexpensive way to upgrade to a newer battery technology.
NIMH - Environmentally Safe
Nickel Metal Hydride cells are essentially an extension of the prooven sealed Nickel-Cadmium (NiCd) cell technology with the substitution of a hydrogen absorbing negative electrode for the cadmium based electrode. This substitution increases cell capacity and eliminates the toxicity concerns that cadmium based cells produce.
