RTS HS-6A Overview

The Telex/RTS HS-6A is a telephone-style handset for intercom communications use, equipped with a coiled cable, push-to-talk switch, dynamic earphone and dynamic mic. It is supplied with a metal hanger bracket for vertical storage, and is compatible with most user base stations.

The HS-6A is terminated with a 4-pin XLR Female connector.

Purchased this product for use with a Clear-Com partyline system and it works flawlessly. The only issue I have with this product is that the headset hanger is next to useless unless you are planning on mounting it to a rack blank or something similar. To mount the hanger you have to have access to both sides of the mounting location and the mounting surface must be very thin. You can't screw the mount to the wall or side of a cabinet.
